Josef Fritzl: Daughter May Testify Via Videotape

Elisabeth Fritzl, daughter of Josef Fritzl, can testify via videotape in the case that has worldwide attention.

Doctors have advised that the daughter of the man who locked his daughter in a makeshift cellar prison for 24 years, Elisabeth Fritzl, who bore her father seven children, is not at this time ready to testify via videotape but may be ready in the near future.

According to The Mirror, Elisabeth must give a video taped statement in order for Fritzl to stand trial “as soon as possible”. This type of testimony, via video, allows Elisabeth to not have to attend a trial and testify in front of her father.

It was only after police assured Elisabeth that she’d “never have to face her father “again” that Elisabeth broke down and told authorities that she and three of her children had been imprisoned beneath the Fritzl family home for 24 years. Three other children were taken by Frizl upstairs and raised by him and his wife. Friztl had Elisabeth write notes claiming she was okay but that she could not care for the children who were toddlers at the time. One child died shortly after birth. Fritzl was the midwife for all 7 babies born by Elisabeth in her’s cellar of horror.

Elisabeth and three of her children might never have been released if not for the illness of her 19-yr-old daughter Kerstin. For some reason Fritzl allowed Kerstin to be treated at a local hospital after she became critically ill back in Mid-April. Doctors induced a coma when Kerstin’s organs began to fail. She remained in critical condition in her artificially induced sleep until June. Doctors now say Kerstin is not only awake but is up and “walking”.

Doctor’s had found a letter in one of Kerstin’s pockets from Elisabeth imploring them to take care of her daughter. A plea was issued by the hospital for the “mother” of Kerstin to please come forward as Kerstin was critically ill. Fritzl then allowed Elisabeth to leave her 24-yr prison to travel to the hospital. It was then that the police intercepted the two. When the authorities guaranteed that

Kerstin would never have to “face” her father again she broke down and told her gruesome tale, how her father had drugged then handcuffed her then locked her into his makeshift prison cellar.

Fritzl now sits in prison awaiting charges. As soon as doctors determine Elisabeth is able to testify she will “face” her father via a TV screen as he listens to her statement.

Megan Meier MySpace Suicide: Lori Drew Pleads Not Guilty

Lori Drew, the infamous Mom and alleged villain next door in the Megan Meier MySpace Suicide story, plead not guilty in a Los Angeles Federal Court June 17th to charges of conspiracy and accessing computers without authorization.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Drew plead not guilty in a proceeding that lasted only a “few minutes”.

Drew was indicted on May 15th by a Los Angeles Federal Grand Jury. DBKP’s Megan Meier MySpace Suicide: Lori Drew Indicted details Drew’s involvement in a case that not only stunned a bedroom community of St. Louis, Missouri, but an entire nation.

Megan was about to turn 14 when she took her life. Megan’s parents, Ron and Tina Meier, allege that Megan’s suicide was acerbated by the alleged antics of Drew, a long time neighbor and Mom of a former childhood friend of Megan’s.

Megan had opened a MySpace account shortly before her 14th birthday with the permission of her parents. She then met a “boy” named Josh who claimed he was 16, new to her area, and wanted to be friends. The two spent several weeks communicating online before Josh turned hostile, commenting on Megan’s appearance and other friends. Megan committed suicide shortly after receiving a comment from “Josh”, that the “world would be a better place” without her.

Weeks later Megan’s parents learned the awful truth: Josh wasn’t a 16-yr-old boy but a 46-yr-old neighbor named Lori Drew. Drew denies her involvment and blamed a 17-yr-old employee, Ashley Grills. Yet Drew admitted the fake Josh personna was to be used to monitor any “comments” made about Drew’s daughter, a former childhood friend of Megan’s. Grills attempted suicide shortly after the story of Megan’s death and the circumstances that surrounded it surfaced in the news and on the web.

Drew’s trial is scheduled to begin July 29 in Los Angeles.

Perhaps it is not wise to ask too many questions.

Lori Drew: Megan Meier MySpace Suicide Mom Indicted

The infamous mother in the Megan Meier Myspace Suicide case, Lori Drew, has been indicted by a Los Angeles federal grand jury on one count of conspiracy and three counts of accessing protected computers without authorization to obtain private information.

Drew’s indictments come as a surprise to many as the local authorities where the case transpired, in O’Fallon, Missouri, and the FBI, declined to press charges after investigating the Megan Meiers Myspace case.

Back in December, St. Charles County prosecutor Jack Banas announced his office would not file charges against Drew because she hadn’t “broken any laws”.

Drew had admitted in a police report that she had “set up” a fake MySpace page to “monitor” what her daughter’s ex-friend, Megan Meier, was posting about her daughter on Megan’s MySpace page. Drew later recanted, claiming she wasn’t involved, that the police report was filled with errors.

Banas had said that the St. Charles County prosecutor’s office couldn’t “prove” that Drew or Grills had meant their messages to be a form of “harassment” even though Megan’s mother claims the messages from the fake 16-year-old “Josh” had grown increasingly mean, culminating in a final message posted the day Megan hanged herself in her bedroom closet, that the “world would be a better place without you”.

Bob Dylan: Countering the Counter Culture

Sometime around the year I was born Bob Dylan freaked all the commies out.

They were all so sure he was their man.

Pete Seger thought Bob was gonna turn America red with his prophet’s twang.
Joan Baez thought he was gonna foment their prole-volution and she would reign queen with the man.

Meantime Bob had zero thoughts in these strange directions, as he says in one of the clips below he’s not even sure he knew what a communist was. This of course didn’t stop any of them from thrusting their desires, agendas, fears and expectations upon him.

So, beyond category, here’s Bob Dylan at something like 23 years old fresh out of Nowheretown, Midwest in General, USA after about a year with the beatniks in the big city he gets some kind of award from some communist related organization, I forget which, maybe it was even Broadside magazine, I’m not sure.

So they’re gonna give him the big award you know, and they all think they own him, and they all think he has the exact same premise of life as they do, and they are all sitting there glowing, anxiously awaiting young Mercury’s New Price of the Realm commie genius acceptance speech.

Meantime…
back in the visionary sphere of the prophet,
Bob reads them a short, terse, vague and deep thing, (which I can not find anywhere at the moment but it is spoken about in Scorsese’s No Direction Home ~ )
and basically, what he said to them was:

ask some other ballerina to dance.

Shortly after this he goes “electric”
was called Judas
and they tried to boo him off the stage

Bob’s response was to turn to the band and say,

When I was a little kid and I saw Bob Dylan on television on TV the first time
he mesmerized me. While watching these words flashed in my mind:
“House Of David“
I had zero knowledge at that time what those words meant on any level,
which is why I never forgot it.

Living beyond category requires extraordinary courage. Smash the idols, like the prophet Bobby Zimmerman did… like Abraham, he started with the ones in his own house. He knew they were trying to make him their God so… he smashed their idol for them. House of David Style.

A prophet has no honor in his own home, and if they hated me know they will hate you too, thus sayeth another radical idol smasher from the House of David in the way back long ago.

Austrian Father Who Locked Sex Slave Daughter in Basement for 24 Yrs – New Details Emerge

More details have emerged in the story coming out of Amstettin, Austria, of the father who now admits he locked his daughter in the dungeon like basement of his home for 24 years and that he committed “incest” with her.

Josef Fritzl admits he not only locked his 19-year-old daughter Elisabeth in a homemade dungeon, but that he also “fathered” seven children with her acting as midwife.

According to the Austrian Times, Josef warned his daughter and the three children sentenced to remain below, that the cellar-dungeon was booby trapped. Police took this threat seriously as Josef was a qualified electrician as well as a retired engineer in construction who had wired several electronic locks on his property.

Josef’s background as a retired engineer who worked in construction may explain how he was able to build a secret set of rooms in the basement of the family home, a gray concrete villa in Amstettin, Austria. The hidden entrance to the dungeon was so “secret” that supposedly even his own wife and Elisabeth’s mother had ‘no idea’ that downstairs in the cellar was her imprisoned daughter and three of her children.

A son-in-law who lived in the house for 3 years said he had been in the cellar on one occasion and that it was filled with junk, that he had “no idea that a few metres away this family were living”.

According to the Austrian Times, at age 19, Elisabeth, working as a waitress at a local service station, was reported missing to the police by her mother on August 29, 1984.

Pregnant Man and Pregnancy Suits

Pregnant Man Sparks Thoughts of Pregnancy Suits

The “pregnant man”, Thomas Beatie–who is actually a woman who had her breasts, but not her uterus, removed and now lives as a man, got that?–is in the news, and seemingly basking in the glow of his/her/whatever 15-minutes of media fame.

Beatie was on Oprah this week for the expected “ohhs” and “ahhhs” of the studio audience. For more on that, see “Pregnant ‘Man’ Due in July after Wife Unable to Conceive” and “Pregnant Man on Oprah: Complete 2nd Phase of Media Trifecta“.

It was about that time that a letter was received by a real man, one Darren Garnick, who apparently wasn’t interested in the transgender experience, but wanted to empathize with his pregnant wife by strapping on an “empathy belly”.

He then wrote about the experience for the Boston Herald. Here’s a bit to get the reader started.

Two weeks before my daughter was born, I strapped on a pregnancy suit called “The Empathy Belly,” and chronicled my experiences for the Boston Herald.

I participated in a birthing class, went to restaurants in the suit (surprisingly difficult to pull a chair close to the table), and even slept in it. Although there is no way to prove what people do in the privacy of their own homes, the inventor of The Empathy Belly told me she believed I wore it for the longest consecutive period of time. I was the record holder.

Not so fast, my wife Stacy reminded me.

She was experiencing pregnancy far longer than a measley 24 hours. And her suit would only come off in the delivery room.

Who was “Old Ed”, the geezer who always fed the gulls down by the beach?

This is an amazing story passed on via e-mail. It’s taken from a book by Max Lucado, “In The Eye of the Storm”.

Old Ed comes strolling along the beach to his favorite pier. Clutched in his bony hand is a bucket of shrimp. Ed walks out to the end of the pier, where it seems he almost has the world to himself.

The glow of the sun is a golden bronze now. Everybody’s gone, except for a few joggers on the beach. Standing out on the end of the pier, Ed is alone with his thoughts….and his bucket of shrimp. Before long, however, he is no longer alone. Up in the sky a thousand white dots come screeching and squawking, winging their way toward that lanky frame standing there on the end of the pier. Before long, dozens of seagulls have enveloped him, their wings fluttering and flapping wildly. Ed stands there tossing shrimp to the hungry birds. As he does, if you listen closely, you can hear him say with a smile, “Thank you. Thank you.” In a few short minutes the bucket is empty.

But Ed doesn’t leave. He stands there lost in thought, as though transported to another time and place. Invariably, a gull lands on his sea-bleached, weather-beaten hat – an old military hat he’s worn for years. When he finally turns around and begins to walk back toward the beach, a few of the birds hop along the pier with him until he gets to the stairs, and then they, too, fly away. And old Ed quietly makes his way down to the end of the beach and on home.

If you were sitting there on the pier with your fishing line in the water, Ed might seem like “a funny old duck,” as my dad used to say. Or, “a guy that’s a sandwich shy of a picnic,” as my kids might say. To onlookers, he’s just another old codger, lost in his own weird world, feeding the seagulls with a bucket full of shrimp. To the onlooker, rituals can look either very strange or very empty. They can seem altogether unimportant….maybe even a lot of nonsense.

Old folks often do strange things, at least in the eyes of Boomers and Busters. Most of them would probably write Old Ed off, down there in Florida .

That’s too bad. They’d do well to know him better.

His full name: Eddie Rickenbacker. He was a famous hero back in World War II. On one of his flying missions across the Pacific, he and his seven-member crew went down.

Miraculously, all of the men survived, crawled out of their plane, and climbed into a life raft. Captain Rickenbacker and his crew floated for days on the rough waters of the Pacific. They fought the sun. They fought sharks. Most of all, they fought hunger.
